Beauty and the Bitch has taken a step into the wild, deep darkness of Jeff van der Meer’s Southern Reach Trilogy. This interesting, and twisted trilogy has received the Hollywood treatment with *amazing* director Alex Garland (Ex Machina), who has co-written and directed Annihilation.
So, naturally, we have feelings about this crazy tale, how the adaptation has shaped up (and changed in a number of drastic ways) and what we think that might mean. So, come and revel in our feelings, enjoy the shade we throw, and partake in the love we share for Alex Garland, sci-fi (in general), drama and miscellaneous ramblings (which we are so good at).
Be sure to catch Annihilation while it’s still in U.S. theaters, and catch it on Netflix soon if you are international!
PLUGS:
Morgan (& Mic) think you should check out Grace & Frankie (in case you’ve been living under a rock and have *seriously* missed out
Mic also wants to plug Robots. (He is REALLY sucking up to them, so *when they take over they remember he is an ally and a loyalist)
***Note: they will be taking over.
Mis also wants you to check out The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells
ALSO, never forget “It’s never too soon.”
For all things comedy.
