This week Beauty and the Bitch are joined by their most popular guest (back by popular demand)- a bottle of wine(s)!!!! Okay, but really, we record on Wednesday and it just *happens* to be hump day.

This week we are HYPED to discuss one of our all time favorite Fantasy books: The Name of the Wind. Book 1 of “The King Killer Chronicles” by Patrick Rothfuss has changed the game of modern fantasy. We think Rothfuss is one of the best Fantasy authors writing today (alongside Brandon Sanderson & George RR Martin), and we are waiting (impatiently) for the conclusion of this trilogy!

We dive into the story arc, character archetypes, feminism (or sometimes lack of), our fave plot lines/characters, whats going on in the world of Rothfuss and SO MUCH MORE.

We will be covering “The Wise Man’s Fear” (book 2) in a second episode- so stay tuned for our feelings on that, and info on book-to-screen-adaptations in the works!

PLUGS:

Morgan wants to plug actually reading things and forming and opinion without hating them on prejudice up front. Give shit a try! (like GOOD fantasy, or a solid Jane Austen novel!)
